I've always liked making things. When I was younger I would always be crocheting, sewing clothes for stuffed animals, and I was a regular at all the kid workshops at Home Depot/Lowes. There is something so exciting about creating something new regardless of how simple it may be. Here are some of the crafty things I have been making lately.

I love plants, but they don't love me. For some reason I can never remember to water them! To solve my issue I decided to grow them in water and let them water themselves.
To make this super easy DIY mason jar garden all I did was take some parsley clippings and put them in rock wool that had been soaked in water. First I placed them in a closed gallon size ziplock for a few days first to let them grow roots and then I placed them in a mason jar I got from the dollar store. I used net cups to hold the rock rock wool in place.

My plant is still fairly young so I haven't added any nutrients, but one it gets more mature I will add some to help it thrive. You can use hydroponic nutrients or instead add a beta fish to create an aquaponic garden.

Biology Review App
This semester I had the pleasure of getting out of my comfort zone and teaching biology. In the spring I will continue teaching biology, but at Sam Rayburn HS in Pasadena, Texas. Something I have been working on for my current and future students is this biology review app which I have been using BloxMob to create. I have no coding or app building experience, but thanks to BloxMob this hasn't been an issue.

To view my app visit BloxMob.com, or download the app, and search for Biology Review.

(App may currently be down because my trial expired and I am working to renew it soon)

This project wouldn't be possible without the help of Kelli Allen who provided me with all of the resources that I could include on the app. Thanks Kelli!

Magnetic Palette

I am a make up addict. I'm always buying new make up I don't need and then I end up not using it because it is all separate. All of this makeup takes up a lot of space from bulky packaging which doesn't help.

I had some old makeup palettes lying around with old ugly makeup. I took out all of the old shades and added some magnetic sheet to create my own magnetic palettes!
